Welcome to TripInviter ("we," "our," or "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal data of both Trip Organizers and Invited Guests. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website or use our mobile application (collectively, the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

To provide a private, coordinated itinerary experience, we collect the following information:

Account & Contact Data: Name, email address, and phone number when an Organizer creates an account or a Guest responds to an RSVP.

Trip Logistics (User Content): Itineraries, destination coordinates, lodging details, check-in times, planned activities, and access data explicitly input by the Organizer (such as gate codes, lockbox combinations, and booking references).

RSVP & Guest Data: Attendance status, guest names, and coordination notes.

Device Data: IP addresses, device identifiers, and operating system data used strictly for application performance and app store diagnostics.

No Location Tracking: We do not track, record, or monitor your real-time GPS location. When you view a destination or launch a route, the app passes a static location pinpoint to your preferred native mapping application (such as Waze or Google Maps). Any active navigation happens entirely within that independent, third-party application.

2. How We Use Your Information

We process your data strictly to facilitate trip coordination, specifically to:

Display trip itineraries, schedules, and access credentials to authorized users.

Manage guest lists, invites, and RSVP tracking.

Enable you to open destination coordinates inside your own external navigation tools.

No Data Monetization: We do not sell your personal data or trip logistics, nor do we use the specific gate codes, booking numbers, or private schedules you input for marketing or advertising purposes.

3. Data Sharing and Privacy Guardrails

Because this is an invite-only service, data visibility is strictly restricted:

Peer-to-Peer Sharing: Trip details, schedules, gate codes, and booking references are visible only to the Organizer and the specific Guests who accept the unique trip invitation link.

Third-Party Navigation: When you choose to navigate to a destination, the address or coordinate link is handed off to your device's native mapping tool, which is governed by that third party's respective privacy policy.

4. Data Retention & Account Deletion

Account Deletion: You can request the deletion of your account at any time via the app settings or by emailing info@TripInviter.com.

Organizer Deletion & Trip History Retention: In compliance with our policies regarding shared collaborative spaces: if a Trip Organizer deletes their account, all of the Organizer’s personal data, contact information, and identifiers are completely and permanently anonymized ("nulled") from our servers. However, the trip folder itself and its logistical itinerary will remain active for the invited Guests, allowing those guests to retain access to their own historical record of past road trips they participated in.

5. Data Storage & International Transfers

Your personal data is stored on servers located in the European Union (Ireland), operated by Supabase (supabase.com). Ireland is subject to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which provides data protection standards equivalent to or exceeding those required by the South African Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). By using TripInviter, you consent to your data being stored and processed in Ireland.
